Location: 

Hybrid roles require role responsibilities to be performed in the office for a portion of the week, with an option to work remotely. Candidates must be based within a 50-mile commuting distance of the specified office location, or able to commute to the office.

What You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Proven experience in social media management
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies/partners
  • Experience in content production
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 3 years of work experience, related to social media, community management, customer experience, media, communication, public relations or general relationship-building
  • Obsession with social media; keen awareness of social media trends and a knack for staying ahead of the curve.
  • Proven experience in scaling brand accounts and building significant online communities.
  • Expert collaborator capable of fostering deep cross-functional relationships.
  • An innate bias for action and owner mentality.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio showcasing a distinct brand voice.
  • Proficiency in creating visual assets and collaborating with design teams.

About the Role 

With ambitions to make Opendoor a household name, this role will be key in continuing to shape our image and growing awareness for our brand. The person in this role will be responsible for managing our organic social media presence and content production across all of our platforms (eg. Meta platforms, TikTok, Linkedin, YouTube, and X). You'll work daily with agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop and produce unique content that engages our diverse audiences and builds awareness and trust. 
You'll lean into experimentation to continue to improve performance, stay on top of the industry, and channel trends to identify growth opportunities. You'll have an eye for design and act as a steward of our brand’s visual identity. This role offers a chance to impact Opendoor's growth while refining your skills in strategy, management, creative thinking, and content production. What You’ll Do 

  • Strategize: You'll guide the vision for our organic social media program and lead agency partners and the broader team to achieve goals, leveraging data and intuition to engage, educate, and amplify our brand awareness.
  • Collaborate: You’ll sit within the Creative Marketing team and interface regularly with comms, ops, design, and product to be the conduit between what we’re building at Opendoor and our consumer audiences on social. You’ll interface regularly with agency partners on campaigns and creative opportunities requiring social media amplification. You’ll collaborate with Media partners to align on strategic recommendations for paid amplification.
  • Test: Embracing risk, you thrive on experimentation. You'll monitor social media metrics aligned with our objectives, guiding content investment decisions and iterating swiftly to reach more audiences effectively.
  • Monitor: Monitor conversations across existing platforms and explore growth opportunities. You’ll leverage insights from online conversations to support content and production optimizations. You'll be the first line of defense in protecting the brand image on social, and escalate negative commentary as needed.
  • Write: Tap into short-form writing skills when needed (eg. post captions, online community comments, customer support). You’ll support the development of influencer briefs for bespoke campaigns with a focused eye on ensuring brand consistency while remaining flexible to our potential partner’s unique style.
  • Make: Act as a resourceful creator tapping into our internal Creative Studio team and external agency partners to bring creative ideas to life from ideation to launch. You will be responsible for 100+ pieces of content monthly and thrive in production management.

Compensation: 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The U.S. pay range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
