Central Package and Assembly Program Manager Program Manager
At Alphawave Semi, we design, develop, and deliver advanced semiconductor solutions for a range of verticals and industries. Our custom SoC division delivers ASICs in the most advanced technology nodes and enjoys close partnerships with all leading silicon foundries. Our ASICs are also seen in satellite communication systems, IoT and extreme low-power mobile devices. We are leaders in high-speed networking and memory interface IP. With our expertise in package-silicon codesign, we belong to the technology elite that can deliver leading-edge products based on advanced technology and packaging.
We have a global presence with multiple development centers in North America, EMEA, China, Taiwan, and India. To support our growth and expansion plans worldwide, we are seeking to hire exceptional talent to join our San Jose Office. You will lead customer engagements and new product programs that are critical to the success of the business unit. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team that is on a mission to deliver world-class SoC products and programs.
What You'll Do
- Central Package and Assembly Program Manager plays a key role in driving the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality assembly and packaging processes of products, working cross-functionally across various teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee the entire packaging and assembly process across multiple departments or regions. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for packaging and assembly projects.
- Act as the central point of contact for cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and logistics ensuring that all programs and projects meet the overall company objectives and deliver on-time and within budget.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components for packaging and assembly.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors for packaging materials, assembly contractors, and other necessary services.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Identify areas for process improvement in packaging and assembly workflows.
- Introduce new technologies, tools, or methodologies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve product quality.
- Maintain detailed documentation regarding packaging and assembly specifications, vendor contracts, and project timelines.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management or stakeholders, highlighting any risks, delays, or budget concerns.
What You'll Need
- Bachelors' or Masters' Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8 or more years of relevant experience in a semiconductor or electronics product company
- Technical understanding of Packaging and assembly process including front-end and back-end packaging design, product testing and validation as well as hardware/software integration in the context of packaging solutions.
- Customer and program management skills, ability to organize information for internal/external consumption.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Office Tools and other program management tools for use in complex semiconductor programs
- Able to motivate and energize teams and lead by influence in a matrixed organization.

Salary and Benefits
Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $175,000 to $185,000 annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including a short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
