CP&A Operations

At Alphawave Semi, we design, develop, and deliver advanced semiconductor solutions for a range of verticals and industries. Our custom SoC division delivers ASICs in the most advanced technology nodes and enjoys close partnerships with all leading silicon foundries. Our ASICs are also seen in satellite communication systems, IoT and extreme low-power mobile devices. We are leaders in high-speed networking and memory interface IP. With our expertise in package-silicon codesign, we belong to the technology elite that can deliver leading-edge products based on advanced technology and packaging.

We have a global presence with multiple development centers in North America, EMEA, China, Taiwan, and India. To support our growth and expansion plans worldwide, we are seeking to hire exceptional talent to join our San Jose Office. You will lead customer engagements and new product programs that are critical to the success of the business unit. You will collaborate with a diverse, global team that is on a mission to deliver world-class SoC products and programs.

What You'll Do

  • Central Package and Assembly Operations plays a key role in supporting efficient and high-quality assembly and packaging processes. This role involves working closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Assist in overseeing packaging and assembly activities across different departments or regions, ensuring timelines and resources are managed.
  • Act as a supporting point of contact for internal teams like engineering, production, quality assurance, and logistics. Help ensure that all programs meet company objectives and are on track to be completed on time and within budget.
  • Help liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components necessary for packaging and assembly. Learn to assist in managing supplier relationships.
  • Support the maintenance of detailed documentation related to packaging and assembly specifications, vendor contracts, and project timelines.
  • Identify areas for process improvement by assisting more experienced team members. You may be tasked with gathering data or performing basic analysis to suggest small improvements.
  • Help identify and introduce new tools or technologies that enhance efficiency or improve product quality. Learn how to test and adapt these solutions within the team.
  • Help in preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders, under supervision, highlighting any risks and delays.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors' or Masters' Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering. No prior experience is required, but a basic understanding or interest in packaging and assembly processes (especially in electronics or semiconductor industries) is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams
  • Motivated to learn and improve in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with project management software like Microsoft Project is helpful but not required.
  • A positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and eagerness to contribute to operational improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to keep calm and make progress in high stress situations.

Salary and Benefits

Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including a short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
