As a Strategy Associate in the Corporate Strategy team, you will lead high impact cross-functional initiatives and projects. You will prioritize the right initiatives based on impact, scope the problem and identify the root causes, conduct relevant research and analyses, build a proposed solution and synthesize recommendations for Cloudera’s senior leadership. You will also engage with senior stakeholders across the business to understand the business challenges, develop respective strategies and provide thought leadership.

As a Corporate Strategy Associate you will:

  • Identifying high-quality long-term growth opportunities and identifying operating leverage opportunities across the company

  • Lead and structure cross functional initiatives supporting our growth and transformation; Build and test potential solutions; Synthesize key recommendations for the leadership team

  • Drive material and strategic decisions impacting both product efforts and GTM motions

  • Build business cases using customer insights, product knowledge, and relevant financial acumen

  • Clearly articulate recommendations through executive stakeholder management and presentation skills

We are excited about you if you have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to scope, structure, and solve strategic product and GTM challenges

  • Ability to work in both structured as well as ambiguous situations to drive outcome

  • Proven ability to communicate & influence stakeholders at all levels including Executive by turning granular detail and research into actionable insight with a well-structured story-line

  • Excellent skills at leveraging facts and insights to generate and validate strategic hypotheses; proficiency in SQL is a strong plus

  • Driven, high energy, curious, and entrepreneurial self-starter, comfortable with running initiatives and programs independently within a "high growth/start up paced" technology company

  • Deep understanding of the tech ecosystem is a plus

You may also have: 

  • Track record of leveraging data for business impact. This is a great opportunity for those with experience in Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or similar roles; MBA a plus

  • Experience in the Software and/or Business Impact of Analytics, Big Data, Machine Learning/AI, Cloud is a plus

The expected base salary range for this role in

  • California is $109,000 - $148,000

  • Washington D.C. $109,000 - $148,000  

  • The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location
