Job Summary
We are looking for a Project Engineer II who will work closely in supporting the Corporate Engineering team and the plants in the execution of various projects within our organization. He/She will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve plant and organizational goals. Through expert application of engineering techniques and principles, the incumbent will conduct analyses and investigations pertaining to the optimization of our existing facilities to increase productivity at the plant. The Project Engineer will develop scope documents, and then work with a team to create design solutions that emphasize safety and optimum performance. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly adaptive and capable of managing multiple engineering assignments. The experience required for this position is described in greater detail below.
Essential Duties

  • Support the Corporate Engineering team with analysis of all facets of proposed projects and provide detailed cost, schedule, and justification estimates to support capital expenditures. Work in a design team to develop operational improvements that are focused on uptime and performance solutions. Conduct engineering and project analysis and follow through with major and minor project recommendations, justification and implementation.
  • Support the management of all aspects of major projects including design construction, vendor management, cost tracking, operational interfaces and operations preparation, and startup. Coordinate between contractors, vendors, and GAF to manage, engineer, and implement projects in the smoothest and most efficient manner without causing production delays or upsets.
  • Partner with the Corporate Engineering team and the plants to identify operational efficiency opportunities and apply technical expertise to develop and present feasible solutions.
  • Take ownership for engineering/efficiency projects from conception to completion within a cross functional design team. Engineers can execute boots on the ground projects and are empowered to design, build, and commission projects from cradle to grave.

Annual Salary Range: 85,500-109,250
