The Corporate Insurance Manager is responsible for supporting Danaher’s global insurance program. With Danaher’s broad reach across its business platforms, and geographies, the successful candidate will exhibit insurance technical and financial acumen to work closely with insurance brokers, risk management vendors, and colleagues worldwide to support global insurance placements, loss mitigation, contractual risk transfer, and claims management processes. 

 

In this role, you must be a self-starter with in-depth understanding and expertise of insurance who advances process improvements and exercises sound risk management judgement. This position will report to Danaher’s Vice President, Insurance Risk Management and will be remote.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Use your specialized knowledge of property and casualty insurance to manage an effective process to provide timely and accurate exposure information for renewal and review coverage terms and conditions
  • Oversee a multinational property insurance program to include tracking and trending risk engineering and loss mitigation for business platforms
  • Use effective communication and insurance knowledge to serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders on complex risk management areas involving, but not limited to, contract reviews, certificates of insurance, and coverage questions
  • Manage various aspects of insurance spend including allocation methodology, premium tracking, claim processing, prepaid expenses and routinely communicating with Finance and Accounting
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills by developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiencies and resolve complex issues

 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 9+ years of experience OR Master's degree in field with 7+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years experience
  • Progressive insurance and risk management experience with strong working knowledge of property insurance for a multinational company
  • Operate independently within own scope of responsibility, handling multiple activities with competing priorities and ability to anticipate issues, identify and implement solutions, and lead projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and information to a diverse audience through various formats, such as presentations, written proposals, reports and training sessions
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, Word and PowerPoint

 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time

 

It would be a plus if you also possess: 

  • Risk management designation(s) or working towards (e.g. CPCU, ARM)
  • Experience with M&A
  • Experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)

The salary range for this role is $115,000-$140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

 

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
