Corporate Accounting Manager

Open to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area and Remote

About the Role:

We're looking for an accomplished Sr. Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for financial reporting, compliance, and auditing processes, driving efficiency and excellence in our accounting practices. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategic decision-making, providing insightful analysis and guidance to support the organization's growth and financial objectives. The role will report to our Director of Accounting. 

What you will do:

• Own and execute month-end close tasks including journal entries, reconciliations and consolidations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Oversee preparation of materials and lead financial close meetings with leadership
• Manage international and GL accounting team members 
• Manage revenue recognition processes and calculations, ensuring adherence to ASC 606 standards
• Collaborate cross functionally on accounting related projects such as finance tool implementations, adoption of new accounting standards and process improvements
• Lead ongoing accounting initiatives including capitalized software and capitalized commissions 
• Oversee annual financial statement audit and tax reporting
• Oversee accounting operations including order to cash, procurement and cash. 

What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• Bachelor’s degree related to Accounting required 
• 6+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience, mix of public accounting experience preferred
• Experience using various ERP systems and finance tools (Netsuite, Coupa, Expensify, Navan experience preferred)
• High growth technology industry experience, SaaS experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company
• Demonstrate proactive technical accounting assessment and communication

Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $130,000 - $155,000.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
