Finance at NexHealth


NexHealth is growing rapidly, and the Finance team is at the center of enabling that rapid growth. In order to achieve our long term mission to accelerate innovation in healthcare, NexHealth has to be set up for financial success in the short and long term. NexHealth’s Finance team is at the forefront of creating the financial infrastructure needed to support growth. The Finance team works in real-time with senior leadership, concentrates on the most critical business issues, and is deeply connected to every aspect of the business.


Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Controller will lead and build the Accounting organization, owning all aspects of Accounting, billing operations, and controls. A successful candidate will have a strong background in Accounting, including a proven track record of building and managing a successful accounting organization. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close. Work closely with FP&A team to deliver reporting of historical financial data.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems that support revenue recognition, quote-to-cash, KPI reporting, AP and AR workflows. 
  • Build and manage a team of high-performing accountants. Coach junior staff and be their resource on complex accounting topics.
  • Manage billing operations, tax compliance, external due diligence requests, AR and AP functions.
  • Drive process improvements, systems improvements, and internal controls to support the company’s growth at scale. 
  • Lead the completion of our annual financial audit 

What You’ll Bring:

  • BA or BS in accounting or related fields.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with at least 2 years of controller experience and CPA certification.
  • Public accounting experience - Big 4 preferred.
  • Experience working implementing accounting systems such as NetSuite.
  • Experience in hiring and mentoring Accounting staff.
  • Experience with SaaS companies, metrics, and business drivers.

Salary Range Disclaimer [if in California]
The salary range for this role is $225k to $275k for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of NexHealth’s total compensation package for employees. Other benefits may include stock options, an unlimited paid time off policy, and 90% coverage on medical, vision and dental insurance.
