Summary: We are seeking a skilled Contract and Budget Negotiation Specialist to serve as the exclusive negotiator for study contracts and budgets with Sponsors and CROs. This role is crucial for ensuring that all contractual and budgetary requirements of our clients are meticulously integrated and managed. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of financial management within a clinical research setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the sole negotiator for study contracts and budgets before study initiation.
  • Handle all aspects of communication and decision-making regarding contract terms and budget allocations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to integrate their contractual and budgetary needs into the negotiation process.
  • Manage, scan, and electronically store all finance-related documents and contracts for awarded studies.
  • Track and manage accounts receivable, perform ongoing study reconciliation, and prepare invoices based on client data.
  • Conduct periodic collection calls and hold regular client meetings to manage trial-specific financials and overall receivables.
  • Train clients in using financial portals and reporting tools based on their data.
  • Coordinate and execute initial contract and budget negotiations and necessary renegotiations.
  • Reconcile funds received and disbursements, managing invoicing and budget negotiations per client data.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and financial management, preferably in clinical research or healthcare.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse client groups.
  • Proficiency in financial software and electronic document management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification in contract management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract negotiation, financial management, or a related role in healthcare or clinical research.
