Content Manager

Adyen, the Financial Technology Platform of choice for the world’s leading brands, is looking for the ideal candidate that is well-versed in creating engaging and effective work for a variety of digital and print formats. You’re fast, bold, and a creative problem solver with great visual taste. Working closely as part of an international team, you’ll translate marketing goals into break-through designs for the Adyen brand.

What you’ll do:

The Content Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day creation, execution, and optimization of Adyen's content marketing strategy. They have strong project management skills, and the ability to stick to timelines and drive projects forward. This role requires a strong blend of creativity, project management, and editorial skills.

Writing

  • Write copy for both short-form and long-form formats (e.g., blogs, reports, events, ad copy, landing pages, scripts) 

Strategy

  • Develop, refine, and implement the regional content strategy across various platforms to elevate brand awareness, establish thought leadership, and drive demand generation.
  • Collaborate with the cross functional teams to implement the content calendar and source high-quality content aligned with Adyen's brand voice and target audience.
  • Develop and implement content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement across relevant channels and target audiences.

Project management

  • Lead the planning, execution, and tracking of content projects, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans that outline resources, timelines, and milestones.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and keep various projects on track to meet deadlines.

General

  • Manage both in-house and external writing resources, ensuring adherence to product standards and brand consistency while upholding quality and voice.
  • Schedule, edit, proofread, publish, and optimize content for various platforms to ensure quality, clarity, consistency, and SEO optimization.
  • Analyze data to measure the success of content and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with local and global teams, including country marketing managers, content marketing, designers, product marketing managers, commercial teams, sales, and agencies, to produce compelling and relevant content and marketing materials.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in content marketing to drive innovation and maintain competitive edge.

Profile & Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience as a content professional (ideally B2B focus)
  • You are curious and strive to understand the motivations, behaviors, and activities of our audience. You want to tell stories in the most interesting way
  • You have a good understanding of SEO, social media, email marketing, paid media campaigns and how it fits into the bigger picture of content marketing and the way people interact with content
  • Flexible & tenacious: does what it takes to get things done
  • Ability to self-start, perform well under deadlines, and drive projects forward.
  • Comfortable in a very hands-on working environment.

San Francisco

This role is based out of our San Francisco office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
