About the role:

We are seeking a Consumer Insights Manager to join our growing Consumer Insights team. In this newly created role, you will report to the Director of Consumer Insights and play a key part in enabling teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle, digital experience roadmap, and key marketing messaging. Using a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methods, you will help Resident deeply understand and advocate for our customers. By designing impactful research programs, you will uncover insights that address critical customer challenges and drive our product strategy forward.


 What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand customer behaviors, needs, and pain points across the digital experience and product lifecycle.
  • Design and execute user experience (UX) research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys, to inform website navigation, product discovery, and purchase decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate customer insights into the development of digital experiences, product enhancements, and marketing strategies.
  • Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations that drive customer-centric decisions.
  • Advocate for the voice of the customer by presenting findings and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stay informed on the latest UX research methodologies and tools, applying innovative approaches to uncover new insights.
  • Build and maintain a repository of research findings to support ongoing strategic initiatives and cross-functional alignment.
  • Partner with the design and development teams to test and refine digital prototypes, ensuring optimal user experiences.
  • Measure and evaluate the success of digital and product experiences through ongoing research and feedback loops.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or user experience research, including global initiatives, at a research firm or within a client-side consumer research function.
  • Strong understanding of market research principles with experience in both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Demonstrated expertise in consumer products or services, such as footwear, apparel, fashion, lifestyle, or DTC/wholesale distribution.
  • Proficiency with UX research, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., UserTesting, Hotjar, Looker).
  • Ability to combine analytical and creative skillsets to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Skilled in presenting data-driven insights and cultivating a consumer-centric culture through impactful storytelling.
  • Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities with precision, adaptability, and a high level of accountability.
  • Thrives in collaborative environments, helping others succeed, sharing team wins, and building strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-changing environments with a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • Passionate about advocating for customers by embedding their voice in product creation, digital experiences, and marketing strategies.
  • Excited to foster a culture where customer insights drive innovation and decision-making.
