The Role
The Senior Data Analyst will join the Cash App Compliance Analytics team chartered to put data at the center of the Compliance organization. Focused on quantifying compliance risks and driving efficiency, you will allow Cash App to change the financial services industry. Reporting into the Analytics Manager of Cash App Compliance, you will partner with the Financial Crimes Emerging Risk team and help deliver actionable analytics and insights related to fraud typologies and risk assessments.
You Will
- Create data strategies for the Emerging Risk team to identify financial crime typologies or support new product rollouts
- Create SQL or Python queries that can be used to extract data necessary for investigative reviews
- Design and build databases and dashboards that achieve Emerging Risk and FinCrimes goals
- Collaborate with partners to inform strategic builds of essential compliance program elements
- Uncover relevant insights on topics affecting compliance, including: new risks, compliance operating effectiveness, risk tolerance, product launches and usage, important performance and risk indicators
- Maintain an understanding of Cash App products and compliance requirements
You Have
- 5+ years of related experience
- Expert level abilities in SQL and data analysis/visualization tools (i.e. T ableau, Looker)
- Experience in ETL development
- Experience using data to solve complex, ambiguous problems
- Vision to define problems and manage projects in a fast-paced, evolving organization
- Experience bringing data to life for any audience through written and verbal communication and data visualization.
- Experience delivering quality in reports and data analysis
Even Better
- Experience working in a Fintech, BSA/AML, fraud, or compliance environment
- Certified Fraud Examiner, ACAMS, or similar accreditation
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- Experience with Python, R or Prefect
- Experience filing Suspicious Activity Reports
