About the Role

This role will be remote-first with limited travel through August 2025 with the expectation that employees will begin working 2 days per week in our dedicated office space in San Francisco starting September 2025. 

Join our team as a Compliance & Risk Specialist and play a key role in protecting the Taskrabbit community. This dynamic position requires you to write and operationalize policies, conduct risk assessments, and adapt to evolving challenges. You'll work closely with stakeholders to enhance our policies and ensure a safe and efficient marketplace.

The ideal candidate relies on data-driven insights to help them make informed decisions that improve and optimize our programs, policies and procedures for accuracy and efficiency. The candidate must also be personable, collaborative, and flexible, with the drive to support complex projects across multiple stakeholder groups. 

You will report into the Manager, Compliance & Risk, on our Compliance and Risk team within our Legal, Compliance & Risk organization.

What You'll Work On:

  • As part of a global team, research and draft data-driven policies, with a focus on compliance and risk.
  • Understand the platform users perspectives to enhance the overall TaskRabbit experience. 
  • Identify factors that increase trust at key points in the user experience and update/draft policy as needed. 
  • Write internal and external policies for platform users and corporate compliance. 
  • Develop, organize, and maintain a searchable repository of all policies. 
  • Guide policy operationalization efforts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across departments. 
  • Assist with building out and supporting frameworks for managing internal company audits.
  • Assist with identifying compliance standards and design improvements for internal control structures. 
  • Support the Compliance roadmap, including current focus areas and future plans.
  • Be the team SME for the company’s GRC platform, ensuring policies are reviewed on a regular and recurring frequency.

Your Areas of Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2+ experience in Compliance, Risk Operations, or Trust and Safety.
  • Ability to work closely with global, cross-functional teams and enjoys collaborating with a tight-knit team.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Capacity for critical thinking, research, and analysis.
  • Proactive, clear, and concise communication style.
  • Adapts well to fast-paced environments; strong attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with tools like Confluence, G-Suite and GRC Platforms like Drata.
  • Passion for building trust and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work in an hybrid model. 

Compensation & Benefits:

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks. The base pay range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
