Roblox is seeking a Compensation Business Analyst reporting to the Director of Broad-based Compensation. Your role will drive innovative compensation solutions within broad-based compensation while ensuring Roblox's compensation is competitive, meaningful, and aligned with business priorities. If you are someone who enjoys working with data, building innovative data models and is interested in getting deep into the world of compensation, this job is for you.

  • Lead market data analysis through research of industry compensation trends and market surveys including Radford and other high-tech data sources.
  • Participate in annual survey submissions and lead the annual benchmarking process for all broad-based roles by comparing compensation against industry peers to advise decision making.
  • Apply your expertise in data analysis to study insights and summarize in the form of presentations and dashboards that can be shared with HRBPs and business leaders.
  • Support Compensation Business Partners through data analysis, data excel models and advanced analysis for business needs.
  • Be the compensation point of contact to partner with People Operations, Recruiting Operations and Early Careers teams. Partner with Talent Acquisition teams on new hire offers, analysis of recruiting data trends, promotions, transfers, etc.
  • Work in a culture of continuous analytics and monitoring of current programs to find areas to improve and align with strategic priorities of the compensation team.
  • Support the implementation of ongoing compensation programs and tools; provide leaders with insights to guide sound compensation decisions.

  • BS/BA in Economics, Finance, or related experience
  • 4+ years of experience in technology industry, compensation, consulting, finance or a similarly applicable field
  • Efficiency in Excel, including experience building analyses and models
  • Knowledge of industry trends and developments in compensation
  • Familiarity with a number of different benchmarking surveys and approaches as well as job evaluation
  • Project management skills to drive small to midsize projects from inception to delivery
  • Knowledge in relational databases and SQL preferred

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$158,000$201,000 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

We are requiring employees to be in the office three days a week – with core days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, employees may choose to work remotely, although the office will still be open.
