The Role
As the Commercial Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Commercial Account Executives responsible for closing new business in the mid-market segment. You’ll coach, support, and help scale a high-performing team to consistently exceed revenue targets. This role is critical in bridging company strategy with execution on the front lines—ensuring we’re building a repeatable, scalable sales motion for our commercial segment.
What You Will Do
- Deal Strategy & Execution - Guide reps through active deals—challenging assumptions, improving call execution, and increasing close rates. Partner with AEs during late-stage deals to pressure test strategy and navigate complex buyer cycles.
- Pipeline Management & Forecasting - Instill rigor in pipeline hygiene, forecast accuracy, and CRM best practices. Use data to proactively identify gaps, risks, and levers for improving conversion at every stage of the funnel.
- Coaching, Hiring & Performance Management - Recruit, onboard, and develop top-tier AE talent. Set clear expectations and implement a structured, fair performance management process. Support growth through feedback, regular 1:1s, and strategic development plans.
- Cross-Functional Execution - Act as the connective tissue between Sales, Marketing, and CS—ensuring clean handoffs, aligned messaging, and consistent customer experience. Surface feedback from the field to shape GTM strategy.
- Team Culture & Leadership - Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and team performance. Model excellence in execution, ownership, and collaboration. Help create a resilient, feedback-driven sales culture that scales.
Who You Are
- 3–5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, optimally 1–2 years directly managing AEs
- Strong coaching mindset with a hands-on approach to deal support and team development
- Fluent in pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and CRM discipline (Salesforce, Gong, Clari, etc.)
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where systems and processes are still evolving
