Join J.P. Morgan's Korea Debt Capital Markets team as an Analyst and contribute to the dynamic world of debt capital markets in Korea. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
As an Analyst in the Korea Debt Capital Markets team, you will support the origination and execution of bond transactions for corporate, institutional, and government issuer clients. You will work closely with colleagues across borders to assist in structuring, marketing, and pricing strategies. Your role will be essential in building strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of our DCM business in Korea.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in covering issuer clients in Korea across corporate and financial institutions.
- Support the marketing of J.P. Morgan's debt capital markets franchise for bond origination.
- Aid in executing bond transactions in partnership with GIB/GCB partners and debt syndicate/sales teams.
- Prepare bond market updates and conduct due diligence as part of marketing activities.
- Help establish trust with clients and demonstrate responsiveness to their needs.
- Understand and apply the firm's risk management policies and regulatory rules.
- Share information and ideas to promote team success.
- Contribute to strategizing with management on business growth plans for Korea DCM.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Basic understanding of macroeconomy and market dynamics.
- Strong communication skills and analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with investment banking and capital markets culture.
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in a team.
- Fluency in Korean and English.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Previous experience or coursework in credit and/or financial institution capital markets is a plus.
- Experience or internship in investment banking or capital markets is a plus.
