About the Opportunity 

EnergyHub’s Implementation Services team operates at the intersection of our clients and partners, charged with developing and delivering programs, integrations, and new platform capabilities through our collaboration with Go-to-Market, Product, Engineering, Client Success, Partner Management, and Marketing teams.

EnergyHub’s Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial Coordinator roles that support our utility clients. As a domain manager, you will manage and mentor a small team of Coordinators, ensuring they provide exceptional support to the groups they serve and in concert with the adjacent teams involved in the launch and sustainment of our utility client programs. This role requires role model leadership, organizational and communication skills, process optimization, and an understanding of operational best practices.

Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do

Team Management and Leadership

  • Manage a small team of Coordinators, ensuring they are effectively supporting the Client Success Managers with post-launch ongoing operational tasks
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, including contributions into career development conversations
  • Define performance standards for the Ops team members - provide feedback, support, coaching, and professional development

Operational Efficiency

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Client support, which can include event dispatch support, reporting & analytics, invoicing, and other tasks
  • Develop and implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness, including evaluating, prioritizing, and focusing the team’s work

Client Success Support

  • Ensure that the Coordinators are effectively assisting in project management tasks of program launches as they develop in their careers
  • Support in managing internal stakeholder and client expectations, specifically Client Success leadership as a key internal customer

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Maintain consistent and frequent communication with an array of stakeholders including clients and device partners to ensure efficient program operational support
  • Assist in analyzing and presenting key results, facilitating meetings, and delivering data-driven messages to clients

Product and Service Expertise

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of EnergyHub services and offerings, DERs, and the drivers of program success and client health
  • Foster a deep understanding of the product, service offerings, and functionality to effectively communicate capabilities to utility clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience: What you need

  • 5-7+ years of experience in commercial operations management, or a related field, preferably within the energy sector or an enterprise SaaS organization
  • Proven experience in managing and developing people
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to describe complex and technical topics in an engaging, succinct manner
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, ability to hit deadlines, and think through risks and dependencies
  • An analytical, yet creative and curious mind, with a confident approach to analytical work
  • Ability to build trust in external client relationships
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to the benefits of clients and the long-term vision of an organization

Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in or with renewable energy, utilities, and grid services or adjacent industries is a plus

The salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience.  This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role.  The salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
