About the Position: Chief of Staff - San Jose, CA

The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, driving organizational effectiveness and operational excellence. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, acting as an extension of the CEO to prioritize key initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and enhance overall business performance. The Chief of Staff is pivotal in ensuring alignment, communication, and decision-making across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with the CEO and executive team to define, prioritize, and execute strategic projects and initiatives. Drive alignment on long-term objectives, monitor organizational performance, and optimize resource allocation.
  • XF Strategic Project Leadership: Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects from conception to execution. Develop project plans, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of critical business outcomes.
  • Executive Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, preparing strategic briefings, board materials, and decision-making insights and frameworks. Provide insights on key business matters and support the CEO in high-stakes meetings.
  • Executive Alignment & Communication: Serve as a central point for CEO and ELT level communication, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging for the leadership team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including board members, partners, and key customers. Act as a liaison between the executive team and broader organization by managing the flow of information to and from the CEO and ELT, ensuring CEO and ELT's time and attention are focused on the most important issues.
  • Data-Driven Executive Decision Support: Perform research, analysis, and reporting to inform executive decision-making. Translate and present data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Crisis & Change Management: Support the organization in navigating high-risk situations and business transitions with speed, discretion, and diplomacy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in senior management or leadership roles with a track record of delivering business outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing, collaborating and building trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and a passion for turning insights into action.
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
  • Experience working in technology or SaaS industries preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree in business administration, public policy, or related fields preferred.

ZEDEDA’s main compensation philosophy is to provide you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop with the company. The base pay range, dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience and location for this role is targeted at $230,000-$240,000 and will also include equity and benefits components to round out your total compensation.
