Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.
We are looking for a Calibration Integration Engineer on the Systems Integration and Test team to lead full calibration of the Figure robot.
Responsibilities:
- Own the kinematic and perception calibration processes (both field and factory) for the Figure robot
- Work directly with Controls, Perception, and UI engineers to integrate and modify core software as needed to enable high-quality, full robot calibration
- Design, implement, and lead validation testing to quantify calibration accuracy
- Anchor calibration requirements by understanding use-case needs
- Triage and root-cause calibration issues and drive corresponding solutions
- Document processes and procedures for manufacturing and maintenance teams to execute calibration
Requirements:
- Experience with developing robotic system calibration
- Experience with robot kinematics and perception systems
- Expertise in C++ and Python
- Background in optimization
Bonus Qualifications:
- System identification experience
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $230,000 annually.
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
