Step into the role of Senior Associate in Business Management and be the driving force behind key initiatives, optimizing performance while keeping risks in check.
As a Senior Associate on the Business Management team you will be responsible for optimizing business performance by helping to drive key initiatives. You will act as trusted advisors and a counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.
JPMorgan Chase's Commercial Real Estate (CRE) businesses include Commercial Term Lending, Real Estate Banking, Community Development Banking, and Agency Lending. CRE serves a diverse set of clients - from individual CRE owners and investors, to large, sophisticated corporate CRE clients with broad banking relationship needs, to community development organizations that invest in the development of affordable housing and economic development projects. We provide CRE clients the financial resources they need, for projects large and small, through a hands-on, local-market approach that ensures efficiency and certainty of execution in any cycle. We also connect CRE clients to the resources, expertise and comprehensive lineup of products and services available across the firm.
Job responsibilities

  • Delivers end-to-end management reporting, inclusive of monthly and quarterly reporting, preparing for business reviews with CRE and CB executives, and adhoc reporting from CRE and F&BM management.
  • Acts as a strategic partner to CRE senior leadership and managers in the Real Estate Banking Group, leveraging operational experience, data, and analytical insights to establish and implement operating model and assist with the development and execution of business and financial plans.
  • Collaborates across Finance and Business Management (F&BM) and other functional areas to understand and communicate results, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor outcomes.
  • Works closely with the business segment heads, Initiatives leads, and functional stakeholders to establish and implement robust operating platform across the business.
  • Works closely with the financial planning and analytics function to assess business performance, define drivers of outcomes, and document areas of opportunities.
  • Identifies areas for continued process improvement and efficiency by generating innovative ideas and solutions.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in strategy, financial planning, business management, or sales operations
  • BA / BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
  • Highly motivated initiative-taker with ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage / execute strategic plans.
  • Ability to partner across business lines and interact with and communicate to all levels of the organization, with strong executive presence.
  • Demonstrated acumen and comfort assessing business performance.
  • Ability to define and deliver a strategic agenda across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience. Strong PowerPoint / Data Visualization skillsets is a must.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Financial Services and/or CRE product knowledge experience is preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
