About the Business Development Representative role

We're hiring for our Business Development Team designed to cultivate the next generation of business leaders at Scribe. This 12-month rotational program offers high-potential recent graduates (last 2 years) the opportunity to gain GTM experience working with customers and scaling a rapidly growing startup based out of San Francisco:  

While the primary focus is on sales development, some of the functions you will be contributing to:

  • Account Management.
  • Customer Success & Onboarding.
  • Growth and Top of Funnel Operations.

Throughout the program, associates will:

  • Complete multiple rotations across sales and customer success.
  • Own high-impact projects that directly influence Scribe's growth.
  • Receive mentorship from senior leaders across the organization.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of Scribes product, business, and customers.  

Upon completion of this program, the common promotion path will likely be into one of the following areas:

  • New Business Sales (Account Executive)
  • Customer Success
  • Sales Operations 

Initial Role: Sales Development Representative

Your journey begins in Sales Development, where you'll be the primary point of contact for SMB inbound inquiries while qualifying Enterprise opportunities. Core responsibilities include:

  • Providing an exceptional customer experience as the first face of Scribe.
  • Explore the use of AI tooling that can improve the customer experience.
  • Generating Enterprise pipeline and qualified opportunities for Account Executives.
  • Bringing in paying customers and closing revenue.
  • Contributing to the optimization of our inbound funnel and sales processes.

The Ideal Candidate Has

  • Recent graduate (within the past 2 years) with exceptional academic performance.
  • Previous internship, extracurricular, or work experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Passion for technology and ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn multiple aspects of the business.

Compensation: 

$70k-$80k USD OTE salary + Equity + Benefits
