As a Business Development Associate at Crusoe, you will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with prospective clients, and contributing significantly to our growth strategy. This role requires a dynamic individual who can blend technical knowledge with strategic business acumen to deliver outstanding results.

  • Ability to contribute to annual and long-term strategic planning cycles for the BDM position.

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the cloud technology and energy sectors.

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and potential partnerships in the cloud computing space.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with market needs and company goals.

  • Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective clients.

  • Negotiate and close multimillion dollar deals, ensuring optimal terms for both the company and clients.

  • Track and report on key metrics related to business development activities and outcomes.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive landscape, and technological advancements to inform strategic decisions.

  • Represent Crusoe Energy at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings, effectively communicating our value proposition and building meaningful connections.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the cloud computing or tech industry.

  • Proven track record of identifying and closing business deals.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for a business audience.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and written skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage and manage relationships with the C-suite at enterprises and well funded startups.

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

  • Familiarity with CRM software and Google Workspace.

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and their applications within the energy industry.

  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation will be paid in the range of $140,000 - $180,000 plus commission. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
