Backend Engineer - Ads Measurement Core
The Ads Measurement Core team is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of our advertising platform. We specialize in building compelling experimentation products for advertisers. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to help us build the next generation of attribution/identity products to help advertisers understand the impact of their ad spend on Reddit.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable server-side components and APIs to support SAN (self-attributing network) ad delivery and attribution
- Implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of ad interaction and conversion data
- Create algorithms for real-time ad matching and attribution based on user identifiers and engagement data
- Build robust tracking systems to capture ad impressions, clicks, installs, and other conversion events
- Develop integrations with major mobile measurement partners (MMPs) and attribution providers
Technologies used on the team include:
- Languages: Go, Python
- Frameworks: React, Thrift, Baseplate, Kafka
- Datastores: Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery
- Tools: Kubernetes, Argo, Docker
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science)
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment
- Experience in backend engineering, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies that you lacked prior experience with
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders independently
Nice to Have:
- Experience building real-time conversions attribution systems
- Experience working with Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) and mobile conversions systems
