As Associate Cloud Engineer, you’ll support the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) principles. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves assisting in cloud deployments, automating infrastructure provisioning, and optimizing cloud-based environments for security, scalability, and efficiency.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in cloud environment provisioning and maintenance.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and report issues or anomalies.
  • Assist in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Support the automation of cloud infrastructure configurations using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps and security teams to ensure seamless cloud operations.
  • Support cloud security and compliance initiatives.
  • Document processes and configurations for knowledge sharing.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or IT infrastructure.
  • Basic experience with one or more cloud Government cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure GovCloud, OCI, or GCP).
  • Fundamental knowledge of cloud networking, security, and resource management.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).
  • Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced cloud environment.
