About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative AI Product Manager to lead transformative AI initiatives across our non-R&D functions. This role will drive the adoption of AI to create significant business value by identifying opportunities, building business cases, and delivering AI-powered solutions that power-up workflows and improve efficiency. If you are a Gem or GPT builder, an AI influencer & evangelist, or have worked in an Automation PMO before, this role is for you! The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong product management background, and will have experience driving fast-paced programs, a solid understanding of AI technologies, and excellent collaboration skills. You may also love to tinker with AI technology in your personal life! This role will act as a central hub, connecting AI champions across the company to AI builders and delivery vehicles.
The Business Technology AI Product Manager will have a focus on core Product Management responsibilities:
- Collaborating on the AI business needs across 9 business orgs, defining solutions (AI applications), building business cases to support this work, and measuring the value of this work.
- Creating internal products that solve specific user (internal team) problems,e.g building "low-hanging fruit" like GPTs and Gems based on business needs.
- Focus on driving adoption and value creation across functions, which aligns with AI product success.
This role will also have a key Program Management component:
- The role involves coordinating across multiple functions, managing senior stakeholders, ensuring delivery, and tracking metrics.
- "Acting as glue" for AI Champions and connecting ideas to delivery vehicles, spread throughout Business Technology.
- Activating passion within the AI Champion Network for AI applications and inspiring use cases.
- The role sits at the intersection of the business & our technology, and the intersection of strategic & tactical. The AI Product Manager will work closely with leaders and teams from departments across the company to identify, prioritize, and execute critical AI technology projects to enhance efficiency, and workflows across the company.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Seattle Metro.

In this role, you will:
- Strategy and Vision: Work with AI Champions across the business to identify, refine and prioritize high-value AI opportunities across non-R&D functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR, Finance). Develop and articulate a clear vision for AI adoption within each function.
- Product Development: Define and develop AI-powered solutions, including internal applications, tools (e.g., GPTs, Gems), and processes, to address business needs. Work with AI Champions to research, demo and understand feasibility of AI solutions in functional groups.
- Business Case Development: Build robust business cases for AI initiatives, including value drivers, ROI analysis, and success metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with functional leaders and AI champions to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and drive adoption of AI solutions.
- Program Management: Provide oversight to AI deployment initiatives on Functional Roadmaps. Track progress against key metrics and ensure successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing updates on progress, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- AI Technology Enablement: Maintain a strong understanding of AI technologies and trends. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI capabilities to drive further value.
- AI Champion Activation: Foster a culture of AI enthusiasm and innovation by activating and supporting a network of AI champions across the organization. Act as an AI advocate & educate and influence stakeholders on AI’s strategic benefits, building awareness and securing buy-in for projects.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in business operations with technology implementations.
- Technical Fluency with AI Tools and Platforms: Hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms used in customer support (e.g., NLP, machine learning).
- AI Program/Transformation experience: Hands-on experience supporting or driving transformational AI efforts.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for varied audiences and drive organizational change, especially in introducing and scaling new technologies across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on project details while maintaining a strategic view, adept at managing both granular tasks and big-picture change.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Advanced Degree: A Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Experience in B2B SaaS ecosystems.
- Experience with hardware and software solutions.
Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$123,165—$165,600 USD
