AI Intern (Summer 2025)

Able is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful AI Intern to join our team. This internship position is perfect for current students or recent college graduates who are passionate about AI and eager to make an impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As an AI R&D Intern, you will collaborate with senior engineers and researchers to deliver tailored AI products using the latest tools, foundation models, and technologies. 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to a member of the Senior Engineering Team, this intern will:

  • Assist in the development and delivery of AI projects, helping our engineers and researchers deliver on AI initiatives aligned with our strategic business goals.
  • Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, emerging technologies, and AI applications to inform client solutions.
  • Support the design and implementation of AI projects, including data preparation, model selection, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of AI solutions.
  • Manage aspects of projects to ensure timely delivery, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in workshops, training sessions, and meetings to facilitate AI knowledge transfer and adoption.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new AI tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance your technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (can be in progress) in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Desire to be entrepreneurial and explore new ideas at the cutting edge.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts (agents, generative models, etc.) and tools such as LangChain, Cursor, or CrewAI.
  • Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts and tools, including GitHub.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with programming languages & model querying techniques (e.g., Python, prompt engineering, etc.).
  • A strong interest in artificial intelligence and technology-driven innovation.
  • Basic project management skills, including organization, planning, documentation, and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to analyze and synthesize information.

This position is 100% remote within the United States.  You must be authorized to work in the United States.

This internship period is for 10 weeks between June and August 2025, with a flexible start date.  Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week during this period, and be available during normal business hours.

We are excited about the potential for this internship to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.  Those candidates interested in a future full time position would be considered an asset. 

Compensation will be approximately $3,000 USD per month. Actual pay rate may change depending on experience and a number of other factors. 

Compensation offered will take into consideration the actual salary ranges for current employees, the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications, the level of specialization the role requires, budgetary considerations, the market demand for the role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
