Job Summary:

The Account Manager will provide support for customers of Surescripts within the healthcare ecosystem of health tech vendors, health plans, health systems, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The Account Manager will work directly with the clients to understand reporting and data needs, address business problems, and advance planned goals and strategy. The Account Manager will collaborate with all groups within Surescripts, most notably Sales, Customer Support, Product Innovation, Data & Analytics, Marketing, & Finance to drive valued results.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively assess client business needs and partner in building a roadmap to address those needs.

  • Translate customer business needs into service requirements.

  • Develop highly effective relationships with customers and solicit feedback to bring back to internal business units.

  • Train and educate other Account Managers.

  • Coordinate pilots and early adoption opportunities with our customers to gain adoption and utilization.

  • Escalate customer concerns that require intervention from management or other internal business units.

  • Ensure customers know the benefits and value of Surescripts products to help drive adoption and utilization of Surescripts products.

  • Apply understanding of customers’ strategic plans and share with internal partners.

  • Protect, retain, and grow customer base.

  • Identify and manage growth opportunities through lead generation to sales.

  • Identify opportunities to increase utilization and adoption of products and services.

  • Lead the preparation and design of account reviews to evaluate client demands and product utilization.

  • Propose business enhancements to reduce errors, increase routing efficiency, and growth of enablement and utilization of Surescripts products.

  • Attend annual internal meetings & select conferences within the United States (1-3 times a year approximately).

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in account management and/or customer success management.

  • Experience working with and being knowledgeable of a complex product suite.

  • Experience pulling customer related reports, reviewing and analyzing data for accuracy, and sharing insights.

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or another Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.

  • Experience in the healthcare / healthcare tech industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of account management experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturing companies.

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $103,800 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
