About The Role

Account Executives are Ernest’s business representatives in the market. You work closely with our external partners and internal teams in order to identify, bid, and secure new work. You are responsible for leading the process to build new relationships and grow the electrical and mechanical business units at Ernest. Your ability to build long lasting, genuine relationships with potential clients will serve as the driving force in our growth and continued success.

You will be the first point of contact with our business and as such, play a critical role in establishing our brand in the community as we look to expand nationwide!


What You'll Do

  • Build new relationships in order to generate new business for all Ernest business lines

  • Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with GCs, developers, estimators, architects, and the community to enhance future business development opportunities

  • Manage the precon process for all relationships and bids received from your relationships to secure new work

  • Collaborate with the estimating department to prepare and present comprehensive and competitive bids to leadership

  • Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously from precon through closeout

What You'll Need

  • >5 years of relevant business development, sales, or construction experience

  • Experience working for a fast growing start up

  • Eager to seek out, find business opportunities and close them

  • Understanding of local and regional market and players is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Experience with the Construction, HVAC/Mechanical or Electrical trades is a plus

  • Desire to go beyond expectations
