Scratch's mission is to build a repayment platform to change the way consumers experience debt. Most of us take on debt to help us get ahead, or in many cases, to not fall behind. But for most of us—despite its necessity—once we have debt, it doesn't play a healthy role in our lives. It can be hard to understand, difficult to manage, and unaccommodating to changes in our lives. This is why we started Scratch. We wanted to reinvent the loan servicing industry, well—from scratch. We wanted to create a world where debt plays a healthier and less taxing role in more people's lives. By bringing world-class product and technical thinking to a multi-trillion industry that hasn't seen innovation in well over two decades, Scratch's platform empowers borrowers to have greater control, visibility and flexibility over their financial health, removing the traditional loan servicer from the equation altogether and bringing borrowers closer to their lenders. Our team is rapidly growing and comes from diverse backgrounds including Dropbox, Pinterest, Prosper, Bloomberg and Ripple. Our office is based in San Francisco. With a rapidly growing community of lenders and borrowers, we think it's time the world knows there's a better way to pay back their loans. We'd love for you to join in our mission and help play a role in changing the way we experience debt for the better!

We want to become the data integration (ELT, reverse-ETL, event streaming, etc.) standard that most companies use in the future. This implies that our open-source technology will support both ingestion to warehouses from any tool, database or SaaS, and distribution of data to any SaaS tools. On top of that, we will build data quality monitoring, privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.), and enterprise features (role access/management, SSO, etc.). You should be able to build your own ELT platform internally, while having complete control over your data and costs (not indexed on MTUs). If any integration that you need is missing, we will make it super easy for you to build it and to use our orchestration and scheduling features for it. We will stay at parity with the incumbent’s features (Fivetran, StitchData) at first (see our [high-level roadmap](https://go.airbyte.com/roadmap)), as our differentiation is on: - open source, enabling you to add your own integration very easily and customize any pre-built one; - data privacy and control; and - volume-based pricing

# KEY FACTS - Founded in 2002 - 55 technicians in China - More than 1,100 shipments checked every month # SERVICES - Product QC inspections - Factory audits - Other related services to support our clients # THE THREE COMMITMENTS TO OUR CLIENTS We have identified three "customer critical to quality criteria" in the inspection business: 1. Sending only product-specialized technicians We do not guarantee to perform a service on a certain date. What we commit to is sending QC technicians who are qualified for your products. 2. Being reactive We know that many shipments are urgent. Most of them might already be late by the time we are called to inspect them. Our clients do not want us to be a bottleneck. We have organized our internal processes to accommodate for urgent jobs. 3. Releasing only properly-vetted reports We do not guarantee that we send reports on the evening of the inspection day. What we commit to is studying the reports carefully before releasing them. For inspections in China, 80% of reports are sent on the same day.
