Preparing the next generation of learners. We started ClassOwl to help students leverage technology to form better time management, organization, and communication habits in school. ClassOwl is an interactive assignment and planning application that bridges the information gap between teachers and their students. ClassOwl allows teachers to communicate what is expected once. The student has their ClassOwl planner across every device with built in homework reminders and deadlines. It frees up the teacher’s time because students have exactly the information they need to come to class more prepared. Our student pilots resulted in grade improvements, fewer late assignments, and less daily stress. Teachers noticed a decrease in the number of emails pertaining to assignment clarification and instructions. Are you a teacher that’s looking for a simple way to improve your classroom? We're now bringing on college and high school teachers who want to be involved with our private beta!

Seesaw is the ed-tech company that opens a window into learning, allowing the brilliance of every elementary student to shine through to teachers and families. More than 10 million people across 150+ countries use our all-in-one education platform every month—and we’ve got more growing to do. At Seesaw, we celebrate every child’s uniqueness. For too long, families had little insight into what their kids were learning in school, and students had to demonstrate their skills in one-size-fits-all ways that failed to capture how much they knew. Since 2013, Seesaw has been changing all of that. By enabling families to participate in their children’s schooling, our platform generates a powerful learning loop that connects all essential parties, creating an environment where every student can thrive. Seesaw also provides a multimodal suite of tools so children can show what they know in ways that work best for them, capturing it all in a digital portfolio they can reflect on and share. So what’s next? Like a kid, Seesaw is going through a major growth spurt, and we’re ready for bigger and better things: namely, extending our reach and expanding our product offering. For ambitions this big, we need people who feel a connection to our mission and always keep our students’ best interests at heart. Seesaw promotes work-life balance through our caring culture and A+ perks. Our team enjoys a flexible vacation policy (that we actually encourage you to use!), first Fridays off, wellness activities, flexible schedules—and the warm feelings that come from the constant heartfelt emails and tweets from teachers who love our product.

Environmental science in nature’s classroom NatureBridge provides hands-on environmental science programs for children and teens. Our multi-day programs take place outdoors in the magnificence of nature’s classroom, where students are immersed in the wonder and science of our national parks in Yosemite, Golden Gate, Olympic, Santa Monica Mountains, Channel Islands, and Prince William Forest. Founded as Yosemite Institute in 1971, today NatureBridge welcomes more than 700 schools and 30,000 students and teachers annually to our six campuses. After more than 40 years of teaching and inspiring students, NatureBridge has provided life-changing experiences for more than one million participants and is a national leader in the field of environmental education. Providing access for all students NatureBridge environmental science programs are inclusive. We work intentionally to bring students from underserved communities to our programs and to offer culturally relevant and transformative experiences in our national parks. Almost 50% of our participating schools receive scholarship support and more than 30% of our students are from underrepresented communities. The NatureBridge business model is fueled by a powerful combination of earned and contributed revenue. More than 70% of our revenue comes from the tuition associated with our environmental science programs and the remaining 30% comes from donations. As a 501(c)(3) we rely on generous donations to advance our mission, to provide scholarships, and to support new curricula development and program extensions into classrooms. Making an impact Our staff of environmental science educators is at the core of our organization. Working with small groups of elementary, middle, and high school students, our educators bring science to life in national parks through engaging environmental science lessons paired with walks, hikes, scrambles, explorations, and overnight backcountry expeditions to the best spots in each park.
