Grammarly, the developer of an AI-powered writing assistant, announced its plans to acquire Coda, a company specializing in AI productivity tools. The two companies aim to help enable a world where humans and AI apps and agents collaborate everywhere work happens.

Coda’s products include Coda Brain, an enterprise AI tool that leverages an organization’s knowledge and data to provide writers with context, and Coda Docs, a solution to facilitate ideation and innovation. Following the acquisition, Grammarly users will gain access to these tools alongside Grammarly’s existing offerings.

Coinciding with the acquisition, Grammarly will transition to a new chief executive officer. Shishir Mehrotra, the co-founder and CEO of Coda, will succeed Grammarly’s current CEO, Rahul Roy-Chowdhury.
