Block, a tech developer offering financial services to increase access to the global economy, announced that it will be the first North American company to deploy an NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, powered by Grace Blackwell architecture. This data center infrastructure system will help improve research and training for open-source generative AI models.

NVIDIA’s DGX SuperPOD features advanced training and inference capabilities designed for modern generative AI models. Its systems allow larger and more advanced models to be trained, leading to faster innovation and greater AI capabilities. Some of Block’s AI research to date has focused on deepfake detection and hyper-realistic audio generation.

The system will be deployed at one of Equinix’s AI-ready data centers. According to Block, the interconnected facilities will provide data privacy and sovereignty compliance, high-performance, flexibility and low-latency edge connectivity to thousands of ecosystems and cloud environments.
