Artisan, a company developing fully autonomous AI employees, secured $25 million in a Series A funding round led by investor Glade Brook Capital. With an initial focus on the sales space, Artisan is launching AI products meant to completely take over repetitive work, saving human employees the hassle.
The company’s initial AI employee, Ava, is part of its outbound sales platform. Functioning as a business development representative, it specializes in lead discovery and research as well as composing and sending personalized messages across various channels.
Artisan plans to build upon this solution and incorporate new autonomous employees, or Artisans, into its sales platform. The additions will include Aaron, which will qualify and route inbound leads and Aria, a meeting assistant that will manage scheduling, reminders and post-call summaries. Down the line, Artisan hopes to expand its solutions into areas like marketing and customer success.
