DataStax Bagged $115M, Fountain Got $100M, and More SF Tech News

Here's what you missed in the Bay Area tech scene last week.

Last week came and went with a flurry of multi-million dollar rounds. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the most noteworthy tech news out of the Bay Area last week. This is the Built In SF Weekly Refresh.

DataStax pulled in $115M. The funding round led by Goldman Sachs brings the company’s valuation to $1.6 billion and will be used for product development. DataStrax helps companies leverage real-time data to build smart, scalable applications. [Built In SF]

Fountain secured $100M. The new funding is an extension of Fountain’s $85 million Series C round from November, bringing the total of the round to $185 million. The extension was led by B Capital Group, and the previous funding was led by SoftBank. Fountain is an applicant tracking company focused on high-volume hiring solutions. It will use its new capital to fuel growth and international expansion. [Built In SF]

ALICE Technologies raised $30M. The Series B round was led by Vanedge Capital and will be used for hiring, global growth, product innovation and sales and marketing expansion. ALICE is a “construction optioneering” platform that allows contractors to virtually test out various project resources and scenarios before construction even starts. [Built In SF]

Arkestro got $26M. The Series A funding was led by NEA, Construct, Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) and Four More Capital. Arkestro is a smart procurement automation platform that helps companies find the best prices for supplies. The new funds will be uses to accelerate growth, specifically Arkestro’s product roadmap and hiring plans. [Arkestro]

In other funding news: Proptech company Homelight raised $60 million in an extension of its previous $100 million Series D funding round. [TechCrunch]

High-resolution 3D radar systems developer General Radar raised $22 million in Series A funding. [Business Wire]

Mobile gaming company VersusGame raised $25 million for platform development, hiring plans and partnership growth. [VentureBeat]
