We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to manage the planning for our travel business. This person will be responsible for end-to-end financial support of the travel business including the planning process, defining and tracking key financial metrics, and supporting the development of the overall business strategy for travel. This role will also be responsible for driving scale and process optimization into the work we do to effectively support our travel business as it continues to grow.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the Strategic Finance lead providing centralized support for our travel business, working closely with the CEO of Travel, Head of Travel Sales, Head of Account Management, and other cross-functional/external partners
  • Own financial reporting including BOD materials, monthly business reviews, benchmarking and other analyses with a focus on driving actionable insights
  • Go deep and understand the business drivers to develop insights across segments and cohorts, proactively identifying areas of opportunity and risk
  • Lead financial planning for our travel business (e.g., Annual and Long Range Planning), partnering across the Strategic Finance team and the business to define the calendar, standardized templates, and support consolidation
  • Help define and deliver the strategy for our travel product and answer key questions business leaders are wrestling with, including GTM plans, pricing, partnerships, customer profitability and M&A opportunities where needed
  • Partner with Data Science and Operations on requirements to identify and improve systems and tools needed to effectively scale with business growth
  • Develop a high caliber team to scale with the business

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of progressive professional experience in Strategic Finance or related field; experience operating in a rapidly scaling business and/or advanced certification (e.g., MBA/CFA/CPA) a plus
  • Be a strategic partner to the business and influence the overall product strategy
  • Finance minded with strong operational focus to drive process, systems, and execution in a scalable and repeatable way
  • Prior Strategic Finance experience combined with business unit/operational/strategic roles is a plus 
  • Able to “roll up sleeves” and go deep into the business analytics, understanding details while managing executive level communication
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with the business while effectively working cross functionally to drive alignment
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and business acumen with the ability to simplify and distill complex business information in a consumable way  
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills (including verbal and written communication skills)
  • Must be able to work in a Matrix, leading both direct and indirect reports

The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
