The Enterprise Technology team, part of Atlassian Corporate Engineering, has a mission to unlock enterprise agility through world-class technology. You will report into the Senior Engineer Manager within the Enterprise Technology team.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $205,800 - $274,400
Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900
Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical leadership on projects and determine plans-of-attack on large projects
  • Solve complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards and start using them on new projects
  • Be an advocate across the Atlassian organisation for raising the technical bar and promoting a high technical standard
  • Partner across Engineering teams to take on company-wide initiatives
  • Transfer your depth of knowledge and share best engineering practices to improve engineering excellence
  • Mentor the next generation of technical leaders at Atlassian


Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience with Java/Springboot
  • 10+ years of experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g. React)
  • 10+ years of experience with relational, noSQL, and graph databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, GraphQL)
  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud technologies such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
  • Deep experience in systems engineering at scale with regards to testing, reliability, security, and observability
  • Deep experience with GraphQL spec and designing durable schemas
  • Consider the customer impact when making technical decisions
